THS 2nd Place at State! The Pack is Back!
The Timpanogos High School wrestling team showcased its strength and determination at the 2025 UHSAA 4A State Championships, earning an impressive 2nd place finish. With a lineup of talented athletes and a season of rigorous preparation, the Timberwolves made a strong statement as one of the premier wrestling programs in Utah.
State Champions and Podium FinishersLeading the charge for Timpanogos were Xander Carlson (175 lbs) and Fisher Jolley (165 lbs), who both dominated their respective weight classes to claim individual state championship titles. Carlson secured his title with a hard-fought 7-6 decision over Hyrum Stafford of Mountain View, while Jolley clinched victory with a 10-8 decision over Mason Grow, also from Mountain View.
The Timberwolves also had several other wrestlers reach the podium, contributing valuable points to the team's overall success:
Connor Knudsen (138 lbs) – 2nd place, battling to the finals before falling in a close 5-3 decision.
Micah Wilcox (190 lbs) – 3rd place, securing an impressive run through the consolation bracket.
Ben Belliston (113 lbs) – 4th place, putting up strong performances throughout the tournament.
Zack McCann (150 lbs) – 4th place, showcasing resilience and skill in a tough bracket.
Dallin Bowman (215 lbs) – 4th place, fighting through the championship and consolation rounds.
Jesse King (285 lbs) – 4th place, proving to be a force in the heavyweight division.
Simon Boyer (120 lbs) – 6th place, demonstrating great technique and persistence.
Notable ContributionsBeyond the podium finishers, Preston Carter (106 lbs), Parker Harvey (132 lbs), Kaleb Midzinski (165 lbs), Stockton Sondrup (190 lbs), and Cesar Inzunza (215 lbs) all contributed crucial points to the team score with key victories in early rounds. Their efforts played an essential role in securing Timpanogos’ runner-up finish.
